Bradford E. (Brad) Yock attended Tascosa High School and Amarillo College. He graduated with a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin with Honors in 1973. In 1980, he earned a law degree from the University of Houston, Bates College of Law and was awarded a J.D. In that same year, he was admitted to the State Bar of Texas.
Mr. Yock has practiced law over 35 years. His practice focuses upon the areas of small business law, estate planning, tax representation, and consulting. The business law area includes, but is not limited to, business formation, business planning, contracts, leases and succession issues. His estate planning practice includes will and trust drafting, as well as probate, guardianship, and selected elder law cases. His knowledge of tax law and accounting enables him to provide tax consultation in the above areas and to represent business and individuals with tax problems before the Internal Revenue Service.
In addition, to a J.D., he holds a Master of Professional Accounting degree from West Texas A&M University and is an Enrolled Agent admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. He is also a member of the International Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma, for college business schools.
Mr. Yock is a member of the Amarillo Area Bar Association and is a volunteer in the VITA/TEC program which assists lower income citizens with completing their federal income tax returns. In addition, he is also a member of the Amarillo Downtown Kiwanis club. The mission of his practice is to provide clients with personal, high quality, and cost-effective legal services
